Our preparation as high mountain guides allows us to provide services at the regional, national and international level. As members of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations, (IFMGA-UIAGM) we are able to carry out our activities legally and reciprocally in all member countries of the union. At the same time, we are subject to the technical standards it requires for our preparation as guides.

Currently, the profession of mountain guide in Peru is well-consolidated. Twenty-seven years ago, there was a bilateral agreement called Alpes-Andes between Peru and Switzerland with the purpose of advising and providing technical assistance. This was done with the collaboration of the Nations Program for Developing Mountain Climbing in Peru, under the direction of the Switzerland Guide Association as well as Peruvian guides who belong to the Mountain Guide Association of Peru. This makes Peru a leader in educating guides at the South American level, since 1979, when the first graduating class of guides received their degrees in the Swiss Alps. Later graduates have acquired academic and technical training in Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash. Today, new aspiring guides continue their education at the CEAM (Center for High Mountain Studies) school, which is part to the High Mountain Guide Association of Peru.

MOUNTCLIMB TRAVEL AND ADVENTURE has had several note-worthy achievements during the last few years. The most important has been establishing a private High Mountain Rescue Team, formed by competitive and highly qualified personnel. It is the only private institution devoted to mountain rescue services made up only by certified guides. Our personnel offers its experience to successfully carry out this project as well as different programs offered by our company. There is a great deal of work to be done during and after preparing our programs and itineraries. There is constant, step-by-step supervision of the tasks performed due to the close relationship with our guides. We also have an information office in which we provide support to the clients through the internet or in person. Our aim is to provide better service for all individuals interested in having this contact for and during their stay in Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash. Our mountain personnel, whom we believe is the best source of information, will gladly offer support, advice and logistics.
