 Ice Climbing

 Canyoning

Rock courses seek to familiarize the participant with a new world, filled with mystery, verticality and beauty in which one will feel overwhelmed by the variety of emotions experienced. Fears and lack of confidence will arise but will gradually diminish as each stage of the course is completed. Our self-assurance will eventually triumph over our doubts, allowing us to fully enjoy this sport.

Stages.

First Stage

Basic rock climbing skills: basic knots, basic equipment and safety equipment (usage, management, and resistance), factors to take into account when falling, safety and anchor systems in rock. Familiarization with rock and holds, stretching and warm-up exercises, working on balance on our points of support, continuing climbing while keeping three points of support, downclimbing and traverse keeping three points of support, taking advantage of dynamic forces in each movement, oxygen supply and rest to avoid numbness in arms and legs while climbing, spotting our partners, top-rope climbing and techniques for avoiding contact with rock on the occasional fall or while hanging from the rope.

Second Stage

This represents an important complement when having a first contact with climbing routes 25 to 50 m high, thereby developing the theoretical and practical concepts that have been taught. We will climb fifth-degree simple climbing routes and for those interested, sixth-degree routes will also be available. These, of course would be carried out under the supervision of an instructor guide. All are top-rope climbed, providing safety and confidence .

Putting what you've learned to the test: Reviewing basic rock climbing principles, anchoring systems (fixed and dynamic), natural anchoring and anchoring with rock protections, rappelling down (self-lock for descending, using different rappel devices and dynamic knot), rope management, rock gear rack (correct location and usage), turn-taking system, climbing techniques and jamming the body, feet, hands and fingers in rock cracks and fissures (making the most of the movements and confidence along the climb).

Third Stage

Learning to climb and overcoming challenges allow us to enjoy new experiences safely. In order to do this, one must continue practicing what has been learned and complete the stage. There's excitement in store for us when climbing since Mountclimb instructors will ensure you enjoy the true sport of climbing. In this stage, you will encounter rock walls 60 to 250 meter high with a fifth-degree level of difficulty and some sixth-degree passes. Facing this type of experiences is truly exciting for our eyes as well as our bodies which find themselves filled with an adrenaline rush.

Freedom in climbing: Global review of everything that has been learned, force triangulation in anchor systems, correct placement of pitons, spits, and bolts, gear rack familiarization, equipping fissures with different types of rock gear rack. Turn-taking set-up, securing one's partner when leading or climbing in the second position, rope management, location and correct quickdraw usage, rope clipping techniques, removing protection from rocks safely, setting up rappel points, rope management when downclimbing descending as well as different big-wall climbing techniques which help foster continuity perseverance and confidence at great heights Freedom in climbing: Global review of everything that has been learned, force triangulation in anchor systems, correct placement of pitons, spits, and bolts, gear rack familiarization, equipping fissures with different types of rock gear rack. This is a summary of what the MOUNTCLIMB TRAVEL AND ADVENTURE SCHOOL has to offer. Of course, much of what has been described are general topics consisting of several subtopics that we will omit for the moment, since you will receive detailed information in a personalized folder upon beginning any of the course stages mentioned. There, theoretical aspects will be described and will later be executed under the supervision and advice of our instructors.
